Bride problem
This page is dedicated to solving multiple bride solution.
The user can select, which task to solve:
- Multiple bride - multiple bride problem is solved
- Single bride - multiple bride problem is solved
The user can specify different parameters:
- groom number (e.g., 50)
- groom goodness distribution (e.g.,
0.25)
- bride impression distribution
(e.g., 0.1)
- waiting costs (e.g., 0.1)
- divorce costs (e.g., 0.1)
The user can perform the following actions:
- Recalculate the results- simply
press the button 'Recalculate'. Then the results are calculated depending
on the given data. The best groom and the bride's choices for the marriage
are shown. The results are also presented in the graphical form.
- Customize graphical view- the
user can select, which part of information he wants to view (by specifying
checkboxes), which colours to use (selected from the list)
- Update the graph after parameter
values has been changed- press the button 'Update graph'
The user can select the following graphical view options:
- Bride solutions - only bride solution
points are shown
- Goodness of grooms - the goodness
of particular grooms are shown
- Bride impressions - the bride
impressions of particular grooms are shown
- Draw line between bride solution
points - the bride solution curve is shown
- Draw line between bride impression
AND groom goodness - the differences between groom goodness and bride impression
of groom are shown
- Draw only one multiple bride solution
curve - in case of multiple bride only the final solution curve is drawn
Changes in Bride's jdk1.3 version:
- Applet has new layout - now should look better on all operating systems
- You must install Java1.3 plugin in order to run Applet
- A couple design changes; removed 'Quit' button
